Author's guidelines
Manuscript Preparation Guidelines
Authors intending to publish in KATUN-ANAN: San Isidro College Multidisciplinary Research Journal are encouraged to carefully follow the journal’s manuscript preparation and submission requirements. Adherence to these guidelines ensures consistency in formatting, strengthens the quality of submissions, and facilitates a more efficient review and publication process.
Registration and Submission
Corresponding authors are required to create an account in the journal’s Open Journal System (OJS) before submitting manuscripts. All personal information, including names and email addresses provided during registration, will be used solely for journal-related communication and publication purposes.
Each submission must include the following information:
- Complete title of the manuscript
- Full names of all authors
- Institutional affiliations
- Corresponding author’s email address
- ORCID identification number, if available
Peer Review and Originality
By submitting a manuscript, authors acknowledge and agree that their work will undergo a double-blind peer review process conducted by experts selected by the journal. The identities of authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the evaluation procedure.
Manuscripts are subjected to plagiarism screening and language quality assessment. Submissions should demonstrate a high degree of originality and must not have been previously published, simultaneously submitted, or under consideration in another journal or publication outlet.
Formatting and Style Requirements
- Use the latest edition of the APA guidelines for citations, references, tables, and figures.
- Manuscripts must be written in clear and grammatically correct English.
- Use Times New Roman font throughout the manuscript.
- Apply single-line spacing with appropriate paragraph spacing.
- Research articles should generally not exceed 8,000 words, excluding references and appendices.
Recommended Manuscript Structure
Title and Author Information
Provide a concise title and complete author details, including affiliations.
Abstract and Keywords
Include an abstract of not more than 200 words and up to six keywords.
Introduction and Framework
Present the rationale, objectives, research gaps, related literature, and theoretical or conceptual foundations.
Methodology
Describe the research design, participants, locale, instruments, procedures, and data analysis techniques.
Results and Discussion
Present findings clearly using tables or figures when appropriate, followed by interpretation and discussion.
Conclusion and Recommendations
Summarize the major contributions of the study and provide practical or scholarly recommendations.
References
Ensure that all cited sources are included and formatted according to APA standards.
Additional Notes
Authors may be requested to submit supplementary materials such as images, graphs, tables, datasets, or formulas separately for layout and publication purposes. All inquiries related to manuscript submission, editorial procedures, and publication concerns should be directed to the journal’s editorial office through the official communication channels.
