Peer Review Process
Peer Review Policy
KATUN-ANAN: San Isidro College Multidisciplinary Research Journal upholds a rigorous peer review process to ensure the highest standards of academic integrity, scholarly quality, and ethical publication practices. Every manuscript submitted to the journal undergoes evaluation through a Double-Blind Review System, ensuring fairness, impartiality, and objectivity throughout the editorial process.
Review and Editorial Process
Corresponding authors are responsible for submitting manuscripts and facilitating revisions throughout the review process. Submitted manuscripts are first examined anonymously by the Editorial Board to determine alignment with the journal’s aims, scope, and scholarly standards. Qualified internal and external referees are then selected according to their expertise and relevance to the manuscript’s subject area.
The Editor-in-Chief oversees the peer review process, including reviewer selection, manuscript assignment, and compliance with the double-blind review protocol. Based on reviewer recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection of manuscripts.
Authors are required to temporarily remove identifying information such as names, affiliations, and acknowledgments from manuscripts during the evaluation stage to preserve anonymity and ensure impartial review.
The editorial process emphasizes originality, relevance, scientific rigor, methodological soundness, clarity of presentation, organization, and adherence to publication ethics and formatting requirements. Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewer observations and recommendations.
To safeguard the integrity of the review process, reviewers are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest before accepting review assignments. The journal ensures that reviewers have no competing interests related to the manuscript under evaluation, thereby maintaining the credibility, fairness, and scholarly integrity of the publication process.
